frustration demonstration

The past two weeks have really shown us how frustrating this process can get.

I like having bad news first so here I go; Our game can’t fit into an itch port. It hurts that I can’t just share that link easily so people can try it out, but we make do with what we have. Lemonade and whatnot.

new game mode!

The good part is that progress on the game has been absolutely bomb! Sir Alv is killing it, see photo on the right for proof!

Styling an outfit wouldn’t be complete without a place to strut on. The secondary addition to the game is a background maker of sorts. I’ve drawn some royalty free backgrounds (shoutout to Unsplash and Pexels!) and the colors can be changed individually. Or you could also just use them with the default colors if you don’t want to overcomplicate it.

I want it, I draw it

Aside from that, I’ve drawn a whole slew of new free assets that I haven’t shown in any footage yet. Which includes fashion, hair and character items.

Apple is not making it easy to make a dev account. This is currently our biggest roadblock. But after that, it’s time to add some secondary gameplay features! Fun times, fun times.

I would really love to see what style creations people come up with in this game. It’ll make the headaches all worth it. But for now we will just have to be satisfied with my stylized fits, check out Cartoon Ariana on the left here.

No one’s really asked but the cartoon-y style that I’m going for is a mix of anime and the Powerpuff Girl’s aesthetic. Yes, I will be watching CW’s remake even though it’s a guaranteed train wreck. Honestly though, I would rather be wrong.

Tangent aside, I really wish we can have people testing the game, like, yesterday but right now I just have to get used to some uncertainty.

with luv,
